Our methodology

For an anaerobic digestion, cogeneration or biochar system, the design choices have a major influence on the type of insurance to be taken out.

Our Alexis Assurances team works with investors to audit the anaerobic technologies used, the storage processes, the mixing of inputs and filtration of the gas produced. We also analyse the maintenance contracts of the manufacturers of components used in these systems.

This preliminary study enables us to adjust and optimise the insurance programme strictly in line with the insurer’s obligations.

Alexis Assurances provides “All Risks Except” cover for damage to AD systems (damage to process elements, the buildings housing them and civil engineering structures), with the extension of Loss of Income cover, including in the event of network failure, impossibility of access, etc., and with the extension of Civil Liability cover for electricity producers and/or the extension of Environmental Damage Liability (Pollution Liability).
